The density and melt flow index are determined respectively according to ASTM standards D1505 and D1238.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TENSILE STRENGTH AND ELONGATION<\/strong><br \/>\nTested according to method A of ATSM D882, the material meets the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cross direction tensile strength: 12 MPa minimum<\/li>\n<li>Transverse direction tensile strength: 8 MPa minimum<\/li>\n<li>Cross direction elongation: 225% minimum<\/li>\n<li>Transverse direction elongation: 350% minimum<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>VAPOUR PERMEANCE<\/strong><br \/>\nTested according to procedure B of ASTM E96, vapour permeance does not exceed 15ng\/Pa\u2022s\u2022m\u00b2. It is thus a type 1 vapour barrier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THICKNESS<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen measured according to ASTM D2103, the material\u2019s nominal average thickness is neither less than 150 \u03bcm nor less than 120 \u03bcm at any point of the film.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPACT RESISTANCE<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen measured according to method B of ASTM D1709, the impact resistance of the material\u2019s face is not less than 300g.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OXIDATION INDUCTION TIME<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen measured according to ASTM D3895 and to the related revisions indicated in Appendices A and B of the CAN\/CGSB 51.34-86 standard, the induction time measured on the film is not less than 30 minutes at a testing temperature of 190\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WEATHER RESISTANCE<\/strong><br \/>\nThe material is adequately stabilized against any degradation from ultraviolet radiation. The film retains at least 50% of its initial tensile elongation (measured according to ASTM D882) after exposure to total radiation of 750 kJ\/m\u00b2 at a wavelength of 340 nm in a Xenon arc weather-ometer.
