In 1927, Raoul Duchesne acquired a furniture and ploughing equipment store. In time, he turned his sector of activity to hardware and construction materials. Twenty years later the first plant was set up, and the company began manufacturing corrugated steel.
A smooth transition took place in 1960 when Marcel, the son of Raoul, took over the management of the company where he had worked since his teenage years.
A major turning point occurred in 1975 when Duchesne radically modified his activities, leaving retail sales to focus on manufacturing and distributing building materials. This industrial complex expanded with the establishment of five new plants.
Françoise Duchesne represents the third generation at the helm of the company now known as the Complexe industriel Marcel-Duchesne, after her father.
A springboard to the future, Duchesne jump-starts the new millennium equipped with state-of-the-art technology and some of the most modern installations in North America.
